CPD-accredited learning

Every published Academy of Skills course is CPD accredited. This page explains what that means, what you receive, and how anyone can verify your certificate.

What CPD accreditation means

CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development — the structured learning professionals do to maintain and develop their skills throughout their career. CPD accreditation means a course has been reviewed against recognised CPD standards for learning value, structure and duration, so the time you spend on it can count towards the annual CPD requirements many UK professions, employers and professional bodies set.

All published Academy of Skills courses are CPD accredited. On completion you receive a free Digital Certificate of Completion, and you can optionally order an official PDF certificate, a PDF transcript of the modules you completed, or a printed hardcopy.

Evidence for your CPD record

Use your certificate and transcript as evidence of structured learning in your professional CPD log or appraisal.

Verifiable by anyone

Every certificate carries a unique verification ID an employer can check online in seconds — no need to contact us.

Recognised by employers

CPD is a widely understood standard across UK industries, from care and compliance to finance and management.

What it does not mean

We believe in being straight about this. CPD accreditation is not the same as a government-regulated qualification: our courses are not degrees, NVQs or Ofqual-regulated qualifications, and completing one does not by itself grant a licence to practise in regulated professions. Where a role legally requires a specific regulated qualification, check the requirements with the relevant regulator or your employer before enrolling. What our courses do give you is structured, verifiable learning — knowledge you can apply, evidence for your CPD record, and a certificate an employer can check.

How verification works

Each certificate we issue carries a unique verification ID. Anyone you share it with — an employer, a recruiter, a professional body — can confirm it is genuine on our certificate verification page, which shows the course, the issue date and the certificate's status.
